Comment: Vehicle advertised on Milweb with the following narrative: "This is a really genuine solid truck and an ex Norway Mutual Aid Defence programme vehicle maintained in storage up to the end of the Cold War with only 6572 miles on the clock. It has an underseal compound on the chassis. Built December 1944 with the original scuttle data plate still fitted. This version is the very rare Air Portable type that splits behind the cab. I believe only some 1800 of these were made. All 11 tyres have full tread and are in good condition.
The following new items have been fitted:
Canvas roof.
Dynamo and 6v battery.
Fan belt.
Fuel pump.
Plugs.
Brake cylinders, brake shoes, and seals to master cylinder,
Dash instruction plates.
Rear stop/tail lights added. Petrol tank has been cleaned out and fuel gauge mechanism cleaned up. Engine oil changed and new oil filter fitted. It has been road registered as 840 YUS after we had it verified by the MVT.
It is a good easy project to get ready for the 70th Anniversaries next year.
£6500.
