Note:  The hood number is original as confirmed by the Daimler Benz rebuild plate still in the cab.  Neil bought in about 1999 at the War And Peace Show. It is ex Norwegian, and is fitted with a 12 volt alternator conversion and electronic ignition.

Vehicle Reclamation In New Zealand (1945) 200,395

This is a brilliant little video produced by the NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL FILM UNIT for Ordnance (Automotive) Reclamation Section SOUTH PACIFIC BASE COMMAND LT. COL. DANIEL F. SULLIVAN ORD. DEPT. U.S. ARMY Officer-in-Charge. 
Wrecked and damaged trucks and jeeps salvaged from the war zones in the Pacific, are reconditioned in New Zealand motor assembly factories.
