History:  The following information has kindly been supplied by the current owners Claire Reid and Craig Bagley.  "The vehicle was bought by the Swiss Army in Othmarsingen and modified with the Workshop body as was practice with a number of vehicles at the time.
The vehicle was then bought with a number of items and delivered to Hatfield Aerodrome for the filming of  Band of Brothers.  The “mistake” being, that as the vehicle had the later modification of the Swiss body, it therefore could not be used.  It was then decided to “convert” it to a Mercedes to be used for filming,  unfortunately she was never used and sold (minus a carburettor  when the filming finished. The kind gentleman in France that called me who dealt with the vehicles for the Band of Brothers still has the missing workshop cabinets from inside the Jimmy in his garage in France!!!!!!
From there she went to Alan Champan (minus a few parts) where  she was sold and transported to Carlisle  by a gentleman who planned  to use her for re-enactments,  Unfortunately life took over and after being kept for a number of years at Solway Aviation Museum she moved on.  The gentleman in Carlisle still has the back door key and has kindly agreed to post it to me………..
She was then swapped for some aircraft parts and transported to Herefordshire, where we purchased her a number of years later."
