Comment By Neil Stevens: Bought by Neil Stevens from Rex Ward ex Norwegian Army in 1993 for £1750. It is a May 1945 vehicle rebuilt by Roots of London in the 1950's. Cosmetically restored for D-Day 50th and pictured here during first week on the road in June 94. Bar treads fitted front only.
Bonnet No represents 437th TCG 85th Squadron C47 Redcliffe A-Able in which 1st Lt Max Demuth of Wichita KS was the navigator. Max came to Normandy with me in 1994 for the week, camping in the truck; sadly he passed away in 96. White lines replicate those pictured on a WW2 353 at RAF Ramsbury with the 437th. Sold on in 1997.
